International Cooperation

The AdC works in partnership with competition authorities in the European Union and internationally, with a view to ensuring the efficient functioning of markets and the protection of consumers.

Cooperation in the European Union

Regulation (EC) No 1/2003 implemented the process of modernizing the application of European competition rules, contained in Articles 101 and 102 on the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

National competition authorities and the European Commission have a parallel responsibility for applying the rules in close cooperation within the European Competition Network — ECN. In addition, the AdC is also a member of the European Competition Authorities (ECA) and has bilateral relations with European competition authorities.
