With an academic career at the University of Lisbon School of Law (FDUL), where he graduated, obtained a master's degree in Legal and Business Sciences and a PhD in Legal and Economic Sciences, Nuno Cunha Rodrigues is president of the AdC since March 13, 2023.
As an associate professor at the mentioned Law School, he holds a Jean Monnet Chair, awarded in 2018 by the European Commission.
He has published books and scientific articles in Portugal and abroad, in Competition Law, European Union Law, Public Procurement, Economic Law, Public Finance and Tax Law, areas of expertise in which he lectures. Has been invited speaker by several national and international universities.
In 2022 was nominated for the "Antitrust Writing Awards", for the scientific article "Filling the Regulatory Gap to Address Foreign Subsidies: The EC's Search for a Level Playing Field Within the Internal Market".
Vice-President of the IDEFF - Instituto de Direito Económico, Financeiro e Fiscal and of the FDUL European Institute, he has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Competition and Regulation since its inception.
Before taking office at the AdC he was a lawyer and legal consultant, and held non-executive positions at Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Floene and OGMA - Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal.
