Yossi Spiegel is the Louise Lea Flack Chair in Game Theory and Interactive Decisions, Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University and a research fellow at the CEPR, ZEW, and CRESSE, where he also teaches in the CRESSE summer school (the mergers module). Currently, Yossi serves as the president of the Israeli Economic Association, and also serves as coeditor of the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, associate editor at Economics Letters, and a Guest editor of International Journal of Industrial Organization (Special Issue with papers from the CRESSE conference) and edited a special issue of Information and Economic Policy on “Antitrust in the Digital Economy.”
Yossi holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University (1991) and his fields of specialization and research include Industrial Organization, Economics of Regulation and Antitrust, and Corporate Finance. Before joining Tel Aviv University he was a member of technical staff at the Economics Research Group at Bell Communication Research for three years.
Yossi is a member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy (EAGCP) for the Chief Competition Economist in the European Commission’s DG Competition, and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Competition Economists and actively participated in several ACE conferences (as either a presenter of a case or an academic discussant) including all ACE conferences since 2018.
