2019 Edition of the AdC Competition Policy Award call for papers until September, 8.
The 2019 Edition of the AdC Competition Policy Award for papers in competition law has a new deadline - 8 September.
The AdC Competition Policy Award is attributed on an annual basis to papers in competition law and economics in odd and even years, respectively. The winning paper, which may not have previously been published, may be written in Portuguese or English, and is assessed by a Selection Committee of national and internationally renowned competition experts.

Open Seminar “Unlocking Digital Competition – a perspective from the Furman Report”
The AdC Open Seminar series returns in September with Amelia Fletcher, OBE, Professor of Competition Policy at University of East Anglia, Non-Executive Director at the Competition and Markets Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority and the Payment Systems Regulator, and a member of the Enforcement Decision Panel at Ofgem. She recently acted as a member of HM Treasury’s Expert Panel on Digital Competition, led by Jason Furman.
The Seminar will take place on Thursday, September 12, at 5pm in the Biblioteca de Concorrência Abel Mateus at the AdC, on the topic of “Unlocking Digital Competition – a perspective from the Furman Report” .
Attendance is free of charge but subject to prior registration

The president of the AdC, Margarida Matos Rosa, was on Wednesday, July 3, to present the Activity Plan for 2019 and the balance of activity for 2018, at the annual audition of the Committee on Economy, Innovation and Public Works (CEIOP) of the Portuguese Parliament.
Margarida Matos Rosa was also in the Parliament at the request of the PCP to talk about the proceedings in the wholesale distribution sector and of the PSD on the cartel in public works.
