Fintech: AdC highlights regulatory sandboxes and innovation hubs
The AdC highlights regulatory sandboxes and innovation hubs as means to promote innovation and competition in financial services, by reducing barriers to entry and expansion in the market. These initiatives are key to reduce legal uncertainty, to provide advice to new entrants and allow the testing of new products and services in a controlled regulatory environment.

Meeting of the Lusophone Competition Network
The cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries, aiming to enhance dialogue regarding competition policy, is a priority for the AdC.
The AdC hosted in October the Meeting of the Lusophone Competition Network. The event was attended by representatives of institutions in charge of competition matters from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde and Portugal, as well as the European Commission, the OECD and the UNCTAD.
The Lusophone Competition Network, created in 2004, with the Rio de Janeiro Declaration, has as its members the authorities responsible for competition issues in the Portuguese Speaking Countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guiné Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé e Principe and East Timor.
