New procedures for communicating with the AdC

 New procedures for communicating with the AdC

The State of Emergency now declared in Portugal has required some changes in the functioning of the Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC), which now operates preferentially on a remote basis. To continue with our activity of defending and promoting competition, we request the collaboration of all in adopting new procedures for communicating with the AdC, namely:

1. All correspondence addressed to the AdC, including postal communication and that which serves to lodge formal appeals, should be sent solely in digital format, addressed to AdC@concorrencia.pt

2. Correspondence relating to mergers and acquisitions should be submitted solely via the Electronic Notification System for Merger Operations (SNEOC), available on the AdC website;

3. In the case of interested third parties or in the case of difficulties in using the SNEOC for notifications, correspondence should be submitted electronically to the address AdC@concorrencia.pt;

4. Also in the context of mergers and acquisitions, requests for prior evaluations should be submitted via the email address preconcentracao@concorrencia.pt

5. Original documents on paper (for example, powers of attorney without digital signature) only should be sent if requested by the AdC;

6. All AdC telephone contacts are operational at the usual telephone numbers;

7. In cases of absolute necessity that cannot be postponed, appointments in person are subject to prior booking via the email address AdC@concorrencia.pt

8. For submitting information, filing complaints or reporting infringements, the AdC’s Complaints portal should be used; the telephone Helpdesk to aid complainants (+351 217902088) remains operational;

9. For Leniency requests, the usual number (+351 217902030) should be used;

10. In the context of treasury operations, we request that invoices and other documents relating to the acquisition of goods and services be sent in digital format to the email address AdC@concorrencia.pt;

11. Please note that the AdC library (Biblioteca de Concorrência) remains closed.

We appreciate your understanding and collaboration, essential at this demanding time, as we strive to maintain our permanent mission of promoting and defending competition.
