Competition Authority offers new electronic notification functionalities

From today, the Competition Authority is offering new functionalities in the Electronic Notification System for Merger Operations (SNEOC).

Since 1 July 2009, when SNEOC came into operation, it has been possible to notify the Authority of mergers by electronic means and, in addition, carry out a series of other interactions associated with the merger control procedure.

With the development now being put into operation, SNEOC allows notifying enterprises to:

  • Submit, online, replies to requests for information;
  • Submit, online, requests for access to the case and a response, by the same means.

The Competition Authority hopes that the new functionalities will contribute to greater efficiency and swiftness in merger control.
